In 1983 a man was tested to see if he could sense god if all his senses were taken away. Every sense nerve in his brain was disconnected. He could not feel, hear, see or smell. He began reporting he could hear the voices of the dead and gave precise details that he could have not known. He then said he could see them and began clawing at his eyes, it turned to screaming and biting chunks of his flesh off. His last words were “I have spoken with God, and he has abandoned us” and died.

this is terrifying

I think it’s fascinating

Fluff rice with a fork, never stir it with a spoon.
Vaseline is the best night time eye cream on the market.
You can buy alcohol and chips with your parents’ gas station credit cards.
If you force something, you’ll break it. That could be good or bad.
It’s important to read the care tags on your clothing and follow those instructions.
Related: don’t wash and dry j. crew wool sweaters.
Changing your car’s oil is not optional.
Whatever physical objects you acquire you will one day have to put into a box and move.
You’re allowed to disagree with negative feedback.
It’s always worth reading the instruction manual.
Nostalgia, like any drug, can be a poison or a remedy.
Pets are like human friends but better in every conceivable way.
Good doctors listen more than they talk.
You can’t fix a burned roux.
Floss.
Just because someone is an authority figure does not mean they are intelligent/competent/right.
Measure twice, cut once.
Get your nice jeans and dress pants tailored by a professional.
If you’re uncomfortable wearing it you will not look good.
You’re not required to drink alcohol while in a bar.
There are a few things that cure all ills: the beach, your favorite album on vinyl, and fresh garlic.

MIND BLOWN.
What if people who have “near death” experiences are stillborn children? D:
Whoa.
And what if hallucinations were memories from a past life?

What if dreams are our memories from past lives? O_O

What if Déjà vu is a past life experience that we relive for a moment? O_o

This post has fucked my mind more than any other post I have ever seen on Tumblr… Seriously you guys. Fucking. Seriously. D:

I’ve always liked the idea of rebirth, it makes everything seem more connected, one big cycle

Dude…

wow

oh my gosh. brendon. no. i love you

Holy shit, what if you’re crying when you’re born cause you didn’t want to die from your last life?

STOP ADDING THINGS. I’M GOING TO CRY
what if we could remember everything from our last life like who we where, how did we die, and we remembered it for all our lives and it drove us crazy because we didn’t know who we really where?????11!!!1

What if we are born knowing everything we ever learned in our previous life and we just keep quiet and don’t tell anyone anything and then we forget, and now we can’t remember knowing those things because you already forgot them when you were a baby. The light at the end of the tunnel is not hope. It’s not the train. It’s life.woah

Do you still need more proof of rape culture?

As Noam Chomsky once pointed out for Z Magazine, old media types from the institutional bodies like American Enterprise Institute tend to regurgitate the same ideas with a reliability that is equally impressive and infuriating. While assuring the public that rape is a terrible crime, writers like Caroline Kitchens and Heather McDonald of right-wing think tank The Manhattan Institute try to claim that feminists have blown this whole rape culture thing way out of proportion.

Apparently, many women disagree. On Tuesday there were more than 1 million responses on the #RapeCultureIsWhen hashtag started by a frustrated Zerlina Maxwell in response to these right-wing narratives.

I could not capture you
even if the words were written in my own
blood because this skin can only hold so
much. Because I can no longer look at you
without burning. You are too painful for poetry
and too big for language. You are far too many
things I don’t know how to write about.
